Mrzyk & Moriceau
Never Dream of Dying
This summer, Le Portique welcomes French artist duo Mrzyk & Moriceau for an exhibiton focusing on free, goofy, and quirky lines. The drawings of Petra Mrzyk and Jean-François Moriceau can be seen everywhere : in children's books, video clips (Air, Sébastien Tellier, The Avalanches, etc.), but also in art venues.
The Never Dream of Dying exhibition invites all visitors to venture in a maze populated by figures the artists like to sketch. To further explore their whimsical universe, the duo have also selected animated movies and video clips, as samples of their work for the musical industry. Mrzyk and Moriceau have also taken over the walls of the venue with a colourful wall-drawing - an act they became famous for since Traversées, an exhibition held at the Museum of Modern Art of the City of Paris in 2001 – which should delight feet fetishists !
