10 buses throughout the city, in partnership with TRANSDEV, LiA network

With the Bateaux-Bus series, Le Havre-based illustrator Cosmo Danchin-Hamard is bringing together public transport and maritime heritage. Her work takes the form of large-scale reproductions of boats tailored to the size of the ten buses that cross the city as part of the LiA transport network. The artist has chosen to reproduce some iconic ships: the Normandie and Washington liners, dredgers, and Brittany Ferries, which are all part of the daily lives of Le Havre residents, on their way to school, work or play, all the way to Étretat. Since moving to Le Havre, the artist has wanted to work on a project that depicts the regular movement of boats entering and leaving the port... Bateaux-bus is a work that literally travels through the city over time, as each bus will be assigned to different lines over the months. Cosmo Danchin-Hamard was assisted in her iconographic research by the French Lines public cultural cooperation body.

The work was co-produced with Transdev, operator of the public transport network for the Le Havre Seine Métropole urban community, LiA.
