Covered passageways in the Perrey district, in partnership with ESADHaR

With the work Aura, Josselin Desbois reveals a little-known architectural feature of the city. His installation, in the covered passageways that cross the blocks of buildings by Perret, consists of bluish lighting whose intensity increases or decreases according to the stillness or the strength of the wind. They invite us to walk alongside the sea and discover the city by following another, almost secret path, shaped by the typology of the buildings designed by Auguste Perret’s team when they were rebuilding the city. By accentuating these transitional spaces between the street and the collective housing, Josselin Desbois has created a design that gently embraces the buildings, making them vibrate. His project demonstrates that creating a work of art is as simple as revealing what already exists, through a poetic vibration of light.

Josselin Desbois’ participation in Un Été Au Havre is part of a partnership between the event and ESADHaR’s Art Media and Environment programme. Since 2019, student volunteers have been taking part in a workshop with the event’s artistic director, during which they propose a work for the season.
