Stefan Rinck is a German visual artist, born in 1973 in Hamburg (Germany). He lives and works in Berlin. Rinck studied art history and philosophy at the Saarland University in Saarbrücken and sculpture at the Karlsruhe Academy of Arts. His works have formed the subject of numerous exhibitions in Athens, Berlin, Brussels, Los Angeles, Madrid, Munich and Paris and form part of the collections of the Frac Corse, Corte (FR), CBK Rotterdam (NL) and the Museum De Hallen, Haarlem (NL), among others. In 2018, one of Stefan Rinck's works (Les Mangoustes de Beauvais, 2017) was permanently installed in the Parisian public space at 53–57 Rue de Grenelle (Beaupassage). In 2019, Stefan Rinck was featured in 100 Sculptors of Tomorrow, published by Thames & Hudson. In 2021, director Sonja Baeger created Heart of Stone (2021), a documentary describing the production processes of three of the artist's monumental sculptures.
