Parabole @ Marin David (1)-min

This gigantic wooden satellite dish overlooking the city is an invitation to daydream, have fun, and meet people. This pretty corolla open to the world allows passers-by to lie down, take a break, enjoy a packed lunch, take a nap, do some climbing, or meet up with people while enjoying the breath-taking view on the city, the estuary, and the sea. Its large dimensions and inclined shape enable visitors to have their own interpretation on how to use it, whether on their own, or with others. Parabole is a genuine life and communication platform.

Indeed, this artwork blends perfectly with the other communication receivers installed on the roofs, facades, and pylons of Caucriauville, on the heights of the city. This contemporary means of distance communication ironically offers a simple, physical, and direct opportunity to communicate. This low-tech and almost primitive wooden creation contrasts with the almost futuristic designs of these technical devices.

Parabole resuscitates the most fundamental forms of communication : encounters, exchanges, and words.
