Continuing their series of works for “non-human visitors”, Ad Minoliti is presenting the Hôtel des Oiseaux aux Jardins Suspendus installation. Featuring the colourful forms of “non-binary geometry” – the artist’s unique language – Hôtel des Oiseaux is a large 6-metre-high parallelepiped set into the embankment at the southern entrance to the former fort. Behind this voluminous expressive facade, Ad Minoliti has designed nesting boxes and drinking troughs in collaboration with the City of Le Havre’s Green Spaces Department and an ornithology enthusiast. A natural extension of the environment, the work is a welcoming space for the birds that live in the Jardins Suspendus. Around the installation, like satellites, the artist has placed benches to welcome another species... us. In this green setting overlooking the city, their installation brings together different forms of life and uses, inviting us to take the time to reflect on them.

See the artist’s exhibition at Le Portique.

As part of the SAM Art Projects x Un Été Au Havre residency programme, this site-specific work by Ad Minoliti, the first winning artist, is sponsored by SAM Art Projects.
