A native of Le Havre, Cosmo Danchin-Hamard spent many years working in the fashion industry before becoming a full-time illustrator. Her graphic world – in which “ligne claire” (clear line) plays a major role – is heavily inspired by comics as well as being influenced by artistic movements such as the Pre-Raphaelites and Neoclassicism. Placing women at the heart of her work in a dreamlike, sensual environment, Cosmo Danchin-Hamard adds her own personal touch: a quirky, offbeat edge. In the course of her collaborations with advertisers from all sectors (Marie-Claire, Monoprix, Rock en Seine, Opéra de Paris, Actes Sud, and more), her work has been featured on beers, clothes, in the metro, in bookshops and in the press.
